1. ​Can shredded paper be recycled?

Yes!
But it must be placed in a paper bag or box to prevent it from scattering.

Titan Sky Ltd can collect your shredded paper, then compact and bail it into large paper bails, ready to be sent off in bulk to be recycled into new paper.

2. What types of paper and card can be recycled? 

Most clean, dry paper and card can be recycled!
Like office paper, newspapers, cardboard boxes, and greeting cards (without glitter or embellishments).

3. What paper can't be recycled?

Non-Recyclable Paper
Paper that often look recyclable but aren’t due to coatings, contamination, or mixed materials:

  • Greasy or food-stained paper (e.g. pizza boxes, takeaway bags)
  • Tissue paper and napkins (especially if used)
  • Paper towels (often contaminated or too short-fibred)
  • Receipts (many are printed on thermal paper, which contains BPA)
  • Glittery or foil wrapping paper
  • Wallpaper (due to adhesives and coatings)
4. What card can't be recycled?

Non-Recyclable Card
Card that often look recyclable but aren’t due to coatings, contamination, or mixed materials:

  • Waxed or laminated card (e.g. juice cartons without proper separation)
  • Cardboard with heavy food residue (e.g. frozen food boxes with grease)
  • Composite packaging (e.g. Pringles tubes—card, foil, and plastic combined)
  • Heavily dyed or coated card (some luxury packaging)
5. ​How should I prepare paper and card for recycling?

Flatten boxes to save space. Keep the paper or card dry and clean!
Don't worry about removing any plastic, tape, staples or metal folder loops.

6. Can I recycle envelopes with windows?

Yes! 
The plastic windows are removed during the recycling process, so you don’t need to separate them.
